Dutch Boy® Automotive Lacquer

Dutch Boy^® Automotive Lacquer is a nitrocellulose, solvent-based, high gloss lacquer paint that is very easy to apply and dries rapidly to a long-wearing attractive finish. It is specially formulated for interior wooden surfaces such as doors, cabinets, and shelves.

SURFACE PREPARATION: 
New Wood

• Use only kiln-dried wood.
• Countersink nail heads for putty application
• Sand rough wood until smooth, then dust off before painting
• Surface to be painted should be clean and dry, free from dust, dirt, and other  contaminants.

Repainting

• Remove loose paint to sound surface.
• Scuff sand intact film to provide anchorage for succeeding coats.
• If old coating is oil-based, scrape off all existing paint to bare substrate.
• Surface to be painted should be clean and dry, free from dust, dirt, and other contaminants.

Finish: Gloss
